The mass of decomposing flesh professes his love and tells Toffee that he wants her back. He plans to clean up his act, finish school and take her to the senior prom - if she'll have him. Toffee is racked with indecision, but worst of all Miss Strict refuses to allow "zombie scum" in her fine institution. At the same time, word of this conflict reaches EDDIE FLAGRANTE, a slick sensationalist TV show host, who loves a lost cause. Eddie arrives at the school with his film crew to cover the story and make a "cause celebre" out of Jonny - "This sounds like a clear-cut case of Zombie Civil Rights!" But once he arrives, we see that he and Miss Strict share a past, shrouded in an elusive mystery.

Low budget zombie films are very hit and miss; with the vast majority of being the latter. They don't require much thought to put together, can often be made with a very limited budget and are (presumably) very fun to film; and this means that there are a lot of very amateur examples; and after having seen a bunch of these amateur examples, its done a lot to put me off the genre. When I heard that this film was made in Argentina for a few hundred dollars, I really did fear the worst. But actually, to my greatest surprise, this is actually a very good attempt at the genre! The main influence was obviously Peter Jackson's Braindead, and indeed there are a few nods to it; although the story is just your average zombie stuff and the film clearly takes influence from across the genre. We focus on a house where a few friends, including a doctor, a mathematician and a wrestler, have to band together in order to survive when a strange disease starts turning their other friends into the living dead. - imdb.

Some movies are great to an individual because of his or her own personal experiences with them. This film is one of those "special films" to me. I saw it originally in 1988 or so on the old USA show "Saturday Nightmares" at the tender age of 8. Saturday Nightmares was the best, way better than "Up All Night". They showed two horrendously crappy horror films every Saturday night, starting at 8 p.m. My dad and I would get very excited for "Saturday Nightmares" because it was always incredible. We were always amused/amazed by how bad these films were and we always wondered where the hell they found them. Every week you would see two movies that would blow your mind. "Toxic Zombies" was one of these. My sister, my father and I were laughing at this trash heap of a zombie film extremely hard. I searched for it for years, and just found it at Videoscreams three years ago. Still horrible, and I still laugh at it.

The owner of the funeral home and prime suspect in the case, claims the three mummified corpses in question are not children but ancient demons known as "kyoshi." It seems the little monsters have been around for centuries as a result of an age-old curse and can only be placated with offerings of human flesh -- with which the mortician has been supplying them his entire life. When Chen is jailed on murder charges, the under-fed ghouls awaken in search of dinner, trapping the staff inside the mortuary walls and munching down on them.

The survivors, including Rose and Nelson, use every means at their disposal to combat the demons -- which have managed to possess the bodies of morgue attendant Mrs. Poopenplatz (Phyllis Diller) and her poodle, mutating them into hideous hell-beasts (not much of a stretch, really). Despite the presence of Diller and some rather outrageous set-pieces, director James Cummins plays the material remarkably straight. Standouts include a good performance by Rose and some truly creepy demon-attacks, marred only slightly by a clunky script and uneven pacing.

While boating (and possibly water-skiing), a quartet of teens, Reg (Don Sullivan), Skip (Paul Pepper), Julie (Mitzie Albertson), and Pam (Brianne Murphy), accidentally discover an island run by a mad scientist named Doctor Myra who intends to turn everyone in the United States into a zombie. The teenagers become trapped on the island, and are temporarily imprisoned in cages. They are freed when other teenagers arrive with the sheriff (who turns out to be in league with Doctor Myra). A complicated fight scene serves as the climax, in which a de-zombified gorilla arrives just in time to attack Dr. Myra's henchmen and allow the teens to escape. When they are safely back on the mainland, it is implied that the teens will receive a reward for discovering the island, and will have an audience with the President of the United States.

The movie was criticized for its use of stock footage from feature films by Jerry Warren, who later used it in his most famous film, 1981's Frankenstein Island. * Although water-skiing is repeatedly referenced (and may be implied), there is no actual footage of water-skiing anywhere in the film. * As with similar zombie-films of this era (such as Bela Lugosi's Bowery at Midnight), the zombies in this film are markedly unlike those portrayed in contemporary zombie-films. Instead, the zombies in Teenage Zombies appear like hypnotized persons.

With a title like that how can you go wrong? H of the Z was made for the lovers of cheezy horror/sci fi. I'm sure a lot was lost in the dubbing by trying to hard to made it appear that the Spanish cast was actually speaking English, yet the plot remains the same. Barbara Rey, Blanca Estrada and Margarita Merino, along with other women in bit parts offer more than this movies share of eye candy (except for some veiwers)perhaps.

The older yet still regal Maria Perschy adds to film. Yet with all this octane the ridiculousness of the situation can make it a struggle to pay attention. Everything on the haunted galleon creaked horribly which added to the films annoying qualities. I give this one 3 stars because I have sat to watch so many films that I just had to give up on. This one however I had to see the end. Give this one a try. You can always turn it off.

The owner of the mansion (Lugosi), insists that the boys spend the night. After seeing PeeWee walk around the house in a trance, the boys decide that the man turned him into a zombie. They gang up on him and tie him up. The nurse at the boys camp (Dorothy Short) sets out to find the missing boys with Von Grosch (Dennis Moore), who has has some mysterious behaviors of his own.

After directing several successful "El Hombre Lobo" romps for Naschy, León Klimovsky was back on hand for this undead entry, known in Spain as LA REBELION DE LAS MUERTAS. Naschy takes on two roles; an East Indian guru named Krishna and his scarred brother Kantaka, who uses some kind of voodoo to bring back the dead and haunt a redheaded British woman (Romy, who looks great in a pink nightgown) after her father gets the hatchet in the head.

Like Klimovsky's DR. JEKYLL AND THE WOLFMAN, some of this film was shot on location in London, the city where it takes place in. Anyone expecting George Romero-inspired antics should look elsewhere. Klimovsky's zombies are mainly female actresses in black cloaks and blue face make-up who stroll around and grin a lot (they look something like the vamps in Andy Milligan's ultra-cheap THE BODY BENEATH). One haunting scene in which they attack a morgue attendant is somewhat reminiscent of Klimovsky's own WEREWOLF'S SHADOW (as well as a scene in the first "Blind Dead" film), with the bizarre image of the pasty-faced gals mutilating his neck with the rim a soda can!

Rather than being portrayed as malevolent monsters, however, the recently deceased return to their homes and attempt to pick up their lives. The pilot had elements of black comedy as well as drama. This is an excellently done amateur Zombie movie. While amateur, the production is very well done, great acting, and good visuals. The only part that really belies the amateur part is the vocal audio, at times tinny, and always an echo. Luckily there is little vocals in the movie, and the score sounds professional.

A "B" movie made by Moobeat,Zack Day, Will Jackson, and Leen Visser as a part of our three video shorts combined into one for our Highschool broadcasting class.

The first half of the movie, until the night shots, followed the original storyboard exactly but then things got out of control and from the night shot on was totally improv.'ed.

As for some technical stuff, the compression messed some of the scences up in the final export and you can hear some extra sounds which comes from editing on computes with fucked up speakers ^.^ Also, the flash to black screens are sposedto be tesxt transitions that WMV seems to not want to deal with. Anyway, its here in its compressed, 90 meg glory.
